Membership

Membership is earned through participation in performance-based activities and training. Officers are elected by inducted members.

Activities/Goals

This is an international honor society for students who demonstrate excellence in the performing arts. Members earn access to exclusive scholarships and resources. Troupe Officers are elected from existing members and serve as the leadership team for the theatre department, tasked with organizing events and cultivating a culture of excellence and acceptance. 

Meetings

Officers meet bi-weekly to plan and execute events within the department.

$30 lifetime membership fee

Activities/Goals

Students analyze a court case and assume the roles of attorneys and witnesses. Students compete against other schools, arguing the case in front of actual judges and attorneys. Includes the potential for state and national championships!

Must have a 3.45 unweighted GPA, hold two positions of leadership (one within 12 months of turning in information packet), participate in two community service activities, two school activities, and a 1.5 average character vote by the faculty council.

In the fall semester, members will help run a LEGO tournament, raise funds, and market the team. January is the start of the 6-week build session. April starts the travel and tournament season

Open To all students. Cast members must audition for roles. Crew members must turn in an interest form.

Activities/Goals

Ram Theatre Project produces a minimum of two full shows each year.-one play, one musical. Students make up the cast, crew, and design team, practicing skills and learning new techniques in the performing and technical arts. As part of the department's mission, a charity project is conducted in conjunction with every show. Though roles and crew assignments are applied for, no previous experience is required and participation is rarely denied. All students are welcome and encouraged to participate.

One organizational meeting at the beginning of the year. Cast and Crew will meet weekly during rehearsals.

Cost

$50.00 participation fee (cast members). $25.00 participation (crew members). Possible financial aid available upon request.

One will perform a show utilizing costumes, song, and dance, perform at school concerts, competitions, and community events.

Practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 6PM to 8PM. Competitions will be held on Saturdays.

The fee will be determined based on the size of the choir.

Journalism students, Sophomores -  Seniors may join with a submitted application and teacher recommendation.

Publish the school newspaper, write stories, photography, layout design advertising. The goal is to accomplish a high-quality student newspaper.

Any student currently enrolled in a Butler Tech class for this school year or by Mr. Reed's approval.

Activities/Goals

We will learn how to solve technological problems and design and build solutions to those problems.  We will focus on Architectural design, CAD - Architecture, CAD - Engineering, Technology Problem Solving, Dragster Design, Board Game Design, and VEX Robotics Challenge.  You may choose to compete in other competitions with instructor's approval.
