RHS Recognized Again For Excellence

posted May 6, 2014, 10:13 AM by Brian Martin

Ross High School was one of only three Butler County high schools to be named to US News & World Report’s 2014 America’s Best High Schools List.  This report reviewed more than 31,200 high schools nationally and Ross ranked in the top 4%.  Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

This continues a run of good news for Ross in terms of recognition at the state and national levels.  Earlier this school year, the Ohio Department of Education announced that Ross Local School District had earned the highest Performance Index of any district in Butler County for the second consecutive year and 71st highest in the state for the 2012-2013 school year.  Additionally, Ross High School recently learned that its graduation rate for the Class of 2013 was finalized at 97.1%.  This marks the third consecutive year RHS has produced a graduation rate exceeding 97% - no other Butler County high school can make that claim.

“There is no magic to our success.  We have a dedicated staff teaching great kids who are supported by parents and a community that value and recognize the importance of education.”  - RHS Principal Brian Martin
